New Agricultural Crops

As part of BIO's World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology in Chicago last week, BioDimensions hosted a workshop dedicated to exploring the challenges and opportunities with companies that are commercializing new crops. The attending companies were Ceres, Stemergy, Sustainable Oils, Mendel, and Envisage Agro. The crops that were discussed included: camelina, hemp, kenaf, flax, sorghum, miscanthus, and switchgrass. Over 40 additional attendees took part in the discussion and the specific feedback will be posted soon.
